Holy crap, my first video blog is coming up soon!! I can't edit on my laptop 'cause the Vaio has a craptastical video card, so I'll be using my roommate's. Until then, I guess this blog will be about whatever?




Dope Concept:























I saw this today! I mean, the idea of pressing individual sounds on your shirt is pretty lame, but I guess I dig the concept? This is like the future of musical instrumentation, aight!? Its basically a drum kit on a t-shirt; there's an embedded speaker that makes noise when you touch any of the individual drums. Why not? What's next though, t-shirts with animated video on them?




New Music:

Jenny Lewis - Acid Tongue (2008) (Indie Rock)



Definitely worth the listen, especially if you're an indie rock fan. One critic from Blender said the album encompasses "Appalachian blues stomps." Did he pull that crap out of a genre encyclopedia or something?


My DJ Class:

Was pretty sick. My teacher is Japanese and she made me bow. It was awesome. The turntable is definitely an instrument: you're playing with notes, you're playing with measures, you're playing with timing etc. Oh, and I learned how to do some scratches!

Thought of the day:

A survey shows that people with disabilities would rather be referred to as "people with disabilities" rather than "disabled people." People don't want to be defined by their disability, so the idea is to put the person first and the disease second. Next time you're talking about cancer, don't say cancer victim. If someone called me that, I'd feel like crap. Say: a person with cancer. Its very simple: people want to be treated like real human beings.
